Welcome to Summerfield campsite

Summerfield Farm offers a 40 pitch campsite situated at the western edge of the village of Tilbrook, 2 miles west of Kimbolton in Cambridgeshire. Owners Carl and Fiona have a family orientated site enjoyed by all types of camping guests that appreciate the simple pleasures of camping in the open countryside.

The 3 acre main block of flat grassland to the rear of the farm is now designated as Summerfield Campsite – a campers haven accessed by a wide easily accessible farm track from the main B645 road through the village.

There is ample space on the site for 40 pitches (half of which can have electric hookup) to include tents and motorhomes and up to 5 touring caravans at any one time. When the site is not too busy, visitors are largely free to ‘pitch where they wish’. At busier times we implement a more structured plan with demarcated pitches as we also have to consider group sizes and the location of electric hook up points that may be required. The site is open (weather and ground conditions permitting) from the beginning of April to the end of October each year.

Surrounded by trees and hedges, campers can enjoy this bespoke site take advantage of the local footpath network to further appreciate the wider views of the surrounding countryside.  Tilbrook is in a valley and the land rises both to the North and South of the village. We are fortunate in that our location has the advantage of being in an area  of undulating countryside.  Indeed, the ‘County Top’ of Huntingdonshire is just one village away to the north and boasts a height of 260 feet above sea level.  (In Cambridgeshire, that is high! So much so that there is a Cambridge Mountain Rescue team that claims to be on call ’24/7-except when they are asleep!’).

For those guests that prefer not to be under canvas, there are three self contained, fully equipped, self catering apartments that offer a touch of luxury – check out the apartments page and dedicated website.
